We’re proud to introduce you to our talented and passionate team of dance teachers at Clark Academy. The Clark Academy’s dance instructors are highly trained in various styles of dance and continue their own dance training. Each instructor offers their unique expertise and dance style in their classes. DIRECTOR | MASTER TEACHER | CHOREOGRAPHER
Matthew Clark, Artistic Director and Founder of Clark Academy Dance Center in Buffalo, New York, provides area students with the unique opportunity to benefit from his highly acclaimed, award-winning choreography, and innovative style of instruction. As coach and choreographer for the Canadian National Tap Team, the US National Tap Team, and the US Jazz Team, Clark has repeatedly led the groups to championship titles including North American National Tap Dance Champions, Canadian National Dance Champions, World Jazz Congress, 21 World Tap Dance Championship titles and International Dance Organization’s World Jazz Champions. His teaching, competing and judging have earned him recognition as a viable member of the dance world in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia
A member of National Dance Council of America, Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America, World Dance Organization, New York State Dance Association of Higher Education, and the International Dance Organization.
Now Clark’s experience in teaching, competing, and judging will be rolled into a program that will help to inspire and bolster the dance community in Western NY.

Elizabeth Giovino
Dance Instructor
Miss Liz is a veteran Clark Academy performer and has trained under Matthew Clark. She is an alumnus of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she received her BFA in musical theatre.
Syidah Sabir
Dance Instructor
Syidah Sabir is a dancer/ choreographer born and raised right here in Buffalo, NY. Syidah has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters in Entertainment.
AJ Ali
Instructor
AJ studied dance for musical theatre, modern dance, and dance improvisation at Fredonia University where he also created his dance team Enfusion.
Chanon Judson
Dance Instructor | Choreographer
Chanon Judson is a former student of Matthew Clark who has a successful career as a dancer and choreographer. She is the co-artistic director of the Urban Bush Women (UBW) Dance Company.
Lynette Simons
Instructor | Afro Caribbean Dance
Lynette Simons is the Artistic Dance Director of the African American Cultural Center and Kakilambe Dance and Drum Performance Company.
Damario Sarden
Dance Instructor
Damario is one of our talented instructors who leads classes like Hip-Hop and assists Mr. Matthew Clark. His energy and passion for dance makes his classes fun and engaging for all dance levels.
